SonicWALL grows with new acquisition

In their second acquisition within 6 weeks, SonicWALL has acquired Banyan Security, a leading provider of Security Service Edge (SSE) solutions for the modern workforce. This acquisition strengthens their portfolio by adding zero trust security relied on by leading fortune 100 companies to small businesses who are replacing legacy architecture for SSE solutions, including zero trust network access (ZTNA). This news marks a significant development in SonicWall’s relentless focus on it’s product portfolio for their customers.

With the proliferation of remote users and hybrid work, applications are everywhere, and users are logging on from anywhere. To keep pace with this demand, SonicWALL have listened to their customers and partners, who are replacing legacy architectures with Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and increasingly prefer cloud-based, as-a-Service capabilities for cybersecurity solutions, such as Security Service Edge (SSE/SASE). This offering will be delivered as a service (aaS) and will be available as a single subscription.

Banyan Security is pivotal in SonicWall’s cybersecurity platform approach, which will integrate their suite of solutions – including network, endpoint, wireless, cloud email, and threat intelligence – under a single, multi-tenant portal. The platform will allow an MSP to protect an end user through simplified workflows and provide unified visibility to threats and alerts, empowering partners to spend more time on what matters most.

Now SonicWall and Banyan Security are offering a flexible hybrid solution which will deliver a more complete security offering that goes beyond the firewall.
